It could be great. The backup function works well. But when away from home and not on the WiFi, all you get is black thumbnails. It doesn't matter if you're on 5G, 4G, 3G, they just don't load. As such, it's only good for backing up your device. Not for looking at your images when out and about like you can with Google Photos. The app needs a lot of bugs fixed before I can up my score. These updates don't seem forthcoming.

Very nice all-in-one app for photo backup, organisation (tagging, time and location stamps, face recognition) and sharing (for NAS Synology users only, of course=) I was quite fed up with many Synology apps (DS file, DS Photo) but this one is great!

So far love it BUT (more than) occasionally it has an "api exception" which prevents the backup from working until you open the app and poke around a bit. Seems like a really easy one to fix and it'd pretty much make this a perfect app.

It does dirty to every single photo you upload from Android. Looking at your photos in phone gallery vs in Photos app is like night and day quality-wise, even with the "quality first" setting. What is the point of having it installed on the phone if it's useless as a gallery and degrades the quality so much? It also does not show Motion Photos and oftentimes just skips uploading them, while it does work for their iPhone analogue.

Meh. It's ok. The tag system is all manual tagging unlike those with machine learning so it's mostly useless. Wouldn't mind a community AI tagging software so we can all train the AI together The face matching was ok. Lots of people not tagged with clear pictures of themselves. You can only edit the date and time of the photo from the desktop website.

Product has come a long way since initial release. Moving from google photos to this, there are missing features and the AI search isn't as powerful. Overall though, its fantastic for backing up and sharing photos - and the only limits are the storage space you add to your NAS.

Thumbs up - I was coming from Moments and this app came as a surprise to me, it's whole lot of improvements to be mentioned. 👍Seemless Chromecast cast (video+photos) slideshow 👍Super responsive photos surfing with thumbnails generation 👍Working backup with same content signature check 👍Seamless album creation with sharing functions 👍Super useful photo sharing with public URL generation 👍This seems to be more powerful than G. Photos except the non AI but file name pattern search engine
